Zach Biehl

Originally from Houston, Texas, Zach received his pre-collegiate training from Revolve Dance Company, whom he would later perform with throughout the Houston metroplex. He attended Southern Methodist University, where he was awarded a B.F.A. in Dance Performance, as well as a B.A. in Creative Computation. Zach has been afforded the opportunity to perform works by noted choreographers such as Martha Graham, José Limón, Bill T. Jones, Danny Buraczeski, Adam Hougland, and Joshua Peugh, among others. He is a co-founder of Granadans, a New York-based dance project rooted in transcending genre, exploring varied human dynamics, and creating musically textured movement with narrative intent. Zach is interested in creating acute emotional environments for the stage as well as less conventional performance spaces via the manipulation of physical, kinetic, and digital material.
